Travelling to Glasgow
By Train
There are two main train stations that serve Glagsow: Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central.
Both are in the centre of the city and are around a 25 minute walk from Sunday’s Event Centre.
Plan your travel and check train times with websites such as Scotrail or Trainline. And remember that Scotrail has cut peak fares until June!
By Bus
The main bus station in Glasgow is Buchanan Street Bus Station. This is located in the centre of the city and around a 35 minute walk from Sunday’s Event Centre. (Or a 10min walk and around a 15min bus ride) The station is serviced by all major bus companies. For more information look at SPT’s website.
By Plane
Glasgow is serviced by Glasgow International Airport (GLA) to the west of the city. The airport is easily accessible by bus from the city centre, with a travel time of around 20mins. Other transportation methods are described on GLA’s Website.
Edinburgh International Airport (EDI) is also an option, with good train and bus links to Glasgow. More Information on EDI's Website.
Travelling Around Glasgow
Directions to each event will be specified in the Final Details, but here is how to get around Glasgow in general.
By Bus
The main bus company in Glasgow is First Bus. There are various different Ticket Types, but we recomend using their Tap-on/Tap-Off (TOTO) service with a valid contactless card/device. It’s nice and easy!
By Subway (aka “The Clockwork Orange”)
The Subway is the easiest way to get around the City Centre and West End of Glasgow. Running frequently at peak times, it takes just 24 minutes to complete a circuit of the fifteen stations. More info on SPT’s Website.
By Bike
Glasgow has OVO City bikes powered by Nextbike. Once you download the app you can scan out a bike to hire and you’re off enjoying the many cycle lanes around the City!
